Easy DIY Chalk Board Sign Tutorial

Where the heck have I been? Making flower headbands as fast as my little hands could make them.

I had made a few headbands and had them up at the dance studio during the last few weeks of class and got a lot of positive feedback (and made a few sales). I decided to make a bunch to sell at the recital, which happened to be last night.

I wanted to display them somehow but didn’t want to spend much, so off to the thrift store I went. I found this bed frame for 99 CENTS! All it needed was a coat of spray paint (black, of course hehe) and it was ready to go.

Here it is all loaded up with headbands:

I made 2 chalk board signs to advertise price and sizing. They were so quick and easy!

I had bought chalk board spray paint a few months ago and never got around to using it, like the craft nerd that I am I was so excited to finally get to try it out. If you want to make some of your own, I started with 2 wooden frames (the ones that usually have some sort of cheesy art on them). Here’s what else you’ll need:

There you have it! I would really like my next chalk board paint project to be a kitchen table like this one:

What we have in our kitchen now is a glass topped table that’s not very safe for baby. With Bean moving around now we have to start baby proofing the whole house, yay……

As for the headbands, made about 50 and sold around a third of them, not too shabby!
