Tutorial: Kids Cute as a Button Tee

2019 Update: I wrote this post way back when I had no idea how to write a well-written tutorial. You’ve been warned… 😉

This was such an easy and cheap project. I wanted Bean’s 1st birthday outfit to be personalized, but I didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg.

This cost me a whopping $2.50. The t-shirt was on sale at Walmart and the rest I already had on hand.

Despite Bean’s fascination with what was on her shirt and constantly picking at it, the buttons didn’t budge. I’ve even machine washed it and they’re all still in place. Success!

  1. That is super cute!! How did you make sure it made a nice heart shape? I'm afraid if I did it without a stencil on the shirt or something that it would come out looking nothing like a heart.
