Getting a toddler to pose for photos

I thought I would share these with you all because…

  1. I was so proud of the final product (not to toot my own horn or anything)
  2. I thought you might also get a kick out of all of the “outtakes” (In case you didn’t guess, I don’t have a magical secret to getting toddlers to pose for photos. Be prepared to snap about a dozen shots just to get THE perfect one.)

My poor husband had to not only be the Bean wrangler, but he also had to deal with my “get out of the shot!” commands. Bless that patient man 🙂

You would think that a multi-colored, lit up tree would keep a 16 month old transfixed… not true. Luckily she did stand still long enough for me to get “the perfect shot”…

We ordered our cards through cardstore.com for the second year in a row, I can’t say enough good stuff about them! I beg you- if you haven’t ordered your holiday cards yet, please check them out. And no, I’m not getting paid to say that 🙂

  1. Adorable!! I had to bribe my 3 year old with M&M's just to get one picture of him close to his brother. It worked and I got my Christmas photo! 🙂

  2. What a fun photo! I am sure the photo session was a bit more stressful 😉 The christmas card looks great! I am toddler free, but I do have “furbabbies”. I played around and did some puppies and christmas lights photos….I imagine they are similar…especially with trying to get them to be still!!

  3. Toddlers are the most elusive people to photograph!! As soon as you think you have the shot they move!! I love your tree, it's beautiful.
