Child Labor and Floor Cleaner (named after my Dad)
Here’s an idea, how about I actually post something of interest versus link up after link up? Argh. I am my own pet peeve. I do have to say though, I gotta keep up my end of the bargain and not let my co-hosts down. Which is why when I can’t think of anything to post (or get too busy) it looks like I’m just all about link ups. Which I’m not.
And I’m getting off my soapbox…
Look at what’s going on around these parts:
We did a ton of landscaping last weekend.
We needed all the help we could get so we put Bean to work.
The “before”, our house really needed some beautifying. And yes, those are Christmas lights still tackily hanging from our roof. They’re down now. Unfortunately I don’t have any “afters” as it has been raining and icky out since I took this photo last week. Thanks, mother nature.
I have the privilege of running past this view every day. Being the cornball that I am, I take a deep breath of fresh, lake water air and think to myself, “Man, this is the life.”
This stuff is next on my to-do list. Influenster and Veet sent me a new at-home waxing kit to try.

Despite the cold and wind, we HAD to get Bean out of the house. To the park we went.
She spent about an hour on this thing {kidding}
but you can about imagine the reaction when we had to peel her off of it to go home.
Oh, you know, just nerding out with my camera phone. It wouldn’t be a trip to the park without embarrassing my husband with my photo taking of odd things and pretty trees.
It’s never too early to start getting excited for the weekend, what are your plans?
Dance, dance and more dance is on tap for this weekend. More girls have their regular class and also rehearsal for the next weekend's dance recital. But it is just about 90 degrees here today and supposed to be through the weekend. So, I am not sure yet what else is on tap. Hoping you have a great weekend, though too!! 🙂
I do the same thing – if I can't come up with a witty post I turn to link-ups. Most of this years' posts are link up inspired :/ ugh.

I'm very interested to see what you think of the Veet home waxing. I tried home waxing when I was younger, and it was brutal, so I'm hoping it's gotten better over the years.
I mean, it's still yanking hair out by the root, so it will probably still suck, but I'm hopeful. 🙂

haha yeah. Being that I used to do it professionally in a salon, I think I'll be ok and not cause too much damage. I'm pretty impressed with this system as it looks identical to the cartridges I used to use!
