Our sad attempt at family tradition.

Last summer, we took Bean to the zoo and decided to take a lil’ family portrait to commemorate the event. Despite the fact that the day had started off with 45 minutes of trying to find a parking spot all while Bean was starving and lacking a nap, the photo turned out pretty darn well. Thank you, random photo taker.

This really just goes to show how different a 1 year old and a 2 year old are. Because this is the outcome of this year’s family zoo photo attempt…

After at least 4 attempts, the top photo is the best we could muster. Our first mistake, trying to do it ourselves with the camera timer vs. having a stranger do it like we had the year before. Lesson learned: suck it up and ask someone to take the photo. But I’m sure getting a kick out of the succession of photos leading up to our final shot.

  2. Bre, I felt your pain there and have been there with both my girls. Even though now they beg me to take photos, every once in awhile they fight it it still, too!!
