Where I blog… a tiny home office tour.
One of the projects that I had mentioned finally finishing was the blank wall above my little office/blogging space in my living area. This is what the space used to look like…
That would be a one year old Bean photobombing while talking on the phone. That’s how long it has taken me to get this project done. And this is what it looks like today…
Sure the photo is a little cluttered, but I’m all about being real and this is what it looks like most of the time. And yes, Bean is watching a Christmas movie on my computer. Having a computer in the main living space has been a lifesaver. Also, notice that chalkboard sign at the top? It’s from a failed father’s day project a few years ago, but my husband won’t let me erase it. The chair I made with a little spray paint and permanent markers. The desk I thrifted and spray painted with chalkboard paint.
I created this art out of wallpaper I found at a local craft store, a canvas, and Mod Podge. I had actually given up all hope when I finished it because it was all bubbly, but when I found it the next day it had magically smoothed itself out.
This is one of my all-time favorite quotes. A great reminder to keep flexing those creative muscles.
I tested out my handlettering skills on my handmade chalkboard sign. That is definitely one skill I would love to practice more often.
Boy, do I have stories about this piece. The frame had been laying around in my crawlspace for about a year now. It used to be a mirror, but it shattered and I just didn’t have the heart to get rid of the frame. I knew my pack rat tendencies would pay off some day. I gave it new life with some baker’s twine hot-glued to the back and some mini clothespins.
I saved this vintage postcard from the fate of being burned in a bonfire back when I was in high school. I’ve always had a thing for all things old. My Dad was getting rid of some random paperwork from his aunt’s house who had passed away when I spotted an envelope full of these. I quickly pulled them out before they would be gone forever. I had no idea what I would do with them. My pack rat tendencies paid off again.
This would have also met the fate of the bonfire had it not been for me. Not sure what these were used for back in the day, but it’s vintage and it’s from my alma mater so I love it.
So there you have it. A little peek into where I do my blogging, amongst other work related things.

I love this little space.That desk turned out smashing. Were you able to remove the handles to pain them separately so you could get the nice contrast in colour? I had a problem when I painted an antique and couldn't remove the handles.
