I used to love poetry. I still have a leather bound notebook of poems I wrote when I was 10 on my bookshelf. I was a lyrical genius.
Did you know that April is National Poetry Month? To celebrate, I decided to do something out of the ordinary. I’m going to write one poem a week for the month of April. More specifically, I’m going to write a haiku, my favorite form of poetry. Short and sweet.
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how fast Bean is growing up. Those baby years are hard stuff. Then, when you’re out of them, you can’t believe how quickly your little baby has grown into a little person. This haiku is my quick reflection on the concept of time and it’s relativity to life.
