There are six particular people in Bean’s life that I want to Give Extra to this Christmas. Being a little girl with parents who work opposite schedules, Bean never needed daycare. It has been both a giant blessing and also a bit of a curse.
When she turned 3, I started to see the effects of being an only child who also spent practically all of her time around adults take it’s toll socially. Not to mention, she was the child of two introverted parents. I knew it might be time for her to start school.
Bean is practically a different little girl since starting preschool. The warm and inviting environment that they created at her school has brought my painfully shy and separation anxiety-stricken little girl out of her shell. So much so that I was able to sign her up for dance classes this year! That made this mommy SO incredibly happy.
I knew that I wanted to do a little something for her teachers this Christmas to express how much I appreciated what they do (these patient ladies dealt with a sobbing Bean for a good 2 weeks at drop off), but with her having 6 teachers I didn’t know how I would do that without spending a lot.
DIY Easy Last Minute Teacher’s Gift
You’ll need…
- packs of Extra Gum
- baker’s twine
- white card stock & my handy, dandy FREE PRINTABLE
- scissors & hole punch
- baking soda
- essential oil blend
- cupcake liners & muffin tin
- clear treat bags
STEP ONE
STEP TWO
While you’re waiting for your shower disks to cool, assemble your Extra Gum packs. Take 2 packs of Extra Gum, stack them on top of each other, and follow the photo below to wrap them together with the baker’s twine and attach a printable label.

Place one of these aromatherapy vapor shower disks on the floor of your shower to enjoy the therapeutic effects of a Peace & Harmony essential oil blend. Depending on exposure to water, each disk should last 1-2 uses.
