InstaVerbs | August 2015

“What in the heck is an InstaVerb?” you are probably asking yourself. It’s my way of giving you a peek into my August. You know us bloggers, we can never do anything plain and simple. Let me elaborate on some of my favorite verb-y photos from August.

Relaxing

We spent the few free weekends we had of August at the cabin relaxing. August is a super busy month for me since we start our competition dance season in the 2nd week, so you better believe we took as much time as we could to soak up the vibes at our cabin.

Celebrating

My baby Bean turned 4 years old this month… oh my gosh. I am the mommy to a 4 year old. Where does the time go? We celebrated by bringing her to the “alien place” (Space Aliens Restaurant, at her request) and letting her pick our a toy in the toy section at Target.

Rocking Out

I got to check off one of my bucket list bands this August. Thanks to my early planning (I bought tickets for my husband’s April birthday on a pre-sale to this sold-out show back in NOVEMBER 2014) my husband and I got to see the Foo Fighters! We walked down the aisle to Everlong at our wedding, so this concert was a pretty big deal to us 🙂 Plus, Royal Blood opened for them, and they are freaking awesome. All around, a fantastic night.

Vacationing

To cap off a busy August, we took our annual friend’s trip to Bayfield, WI. If you want to read more about it, check it out here. To sum it up: vacations without the Bean are pretty darn fun and relaxing, even though we were so glad to squish her cheeks when we returned. Plus, mopeds are the bomb.
All in all, when I look back on it, I had an action-packed August! Despite being one of the busiest months of the year for me what with a brand new competition dance season beginning, we managed to sneak in a weekend at the cabin, awesome concert, and 4 day vacation.
We had a great August, and we hope you did, too!
