We’re going on month 4 of frigid, Minnesota winter weather. Although, don’t get me wrong, this winter hasn’t been nearly as unbearable as ones in the past. That’s good news for us parents of a child with plenty of energy to burn that hates being cooped up in the house all winter.
After we brave the arctic temperatures outside so that Bean can run around and tire herself out, the first question I hear when we get in the house is, “Mom, can you make me a cup of hot choc-a-late?” I write that exactly as she says it, carefully pronouncing each syllable: choc-a-late. It’s pretty adorable.
Lately we’ve been enjoying Starbucks® Hot Cocoa K-Cup® pods. They’ve got 2 delicious flavors: Classic Hot Cocoa and Salted Caramel Hot Cocoa. They’re made with real cocoa and non-fat milk, plus they’re quick and easy to make with my Keurig.
We got to try out the Starbucks® Hot Cocoa K-Cup® pods when the Cozy Collection showed up at my doorstep. It came with a super soft blanket, mug, shortbread, handcrafted marshmallows, k-cup pods, plus a $5 Starbucks gift card.
I like to use a mug cozy to help keep my hot cocoa warm (and cozy), so I decided to create a pattern to fit my new, tall Starbucks® mug. Here’s how you can crochet one for yourself…
