Easter 2016 + Mess-Free Easter Egg Coloring

The biggest reason I wanted to get back into blogging was because I miss sharing all of the various goings-on and family memories that might otherwise be forgotten. I’ve always been a documenter, you should see some of the home videos that I made back in the day. Pure gold. My siblings and I used to love popping in the VHS tapes on a rainy day and spending time watching “family videos”. I decided to start documenting our videos with a new series of the same name: Family Videos.

It doesn’t feel like it, but Easter was already a week ago. It was a special one because it was the first Easter in our new home. I used to take an annual photo of Bean in front of the tree in our yard of our old house in her Easter dress bought by her Great Grandma Joann, this year we started a new tradition in the front patio rocking chair.

I had her hair all curled up cute for church which we went to with my mom, dad, sister, brother-in-law, and nephew, so fun 🙂 By the time church was done, her hair was a hot mess. Typical Bean. A bun and bunny ears was the style for the rest of the day.

After church we went over to my mom’s house for our annual family photo and Easter lunch with my side of the family. Our new house is only 3 minutes from my mom, which has been AWESOME. We spent the afternoon there until it was time for Easter round 2 with my husband’s side of the family. We’re lucky enough to have a lot of family relatively close by (within an hour), but that also means dividing up and driving every holiday which can be tiring. It’s a good problem to have I suppose.

I managed to sneak some family videos of coloring easter eggs the mess-free way (it’s amazing!), my tradition of snacking on bunny toast and bunny “poop” (chocolate chips) while watching Here Comes Peter Cottontail, and some Easter day festivities.
