You may or may not know that I am not only a mom and a blogger, but I am also a competition dance teacher. That means that once competition season comes around, my weekends are full of fun but a lot of early on the go mornings and crazy long days.

I’m talking up at 6:00 AM and finally back to the hotel by 11:00 PM long.

When you have to be “up and at em” at the crack of dawn, you rely on some go-to tricks for an energizing on the go morning. And obviously caffeine is a key player in this plan 😉 Here’s my 3 step plan for kick-starting an early morning…

My go-to tips and tricks for an on the go morning. These make super early mornings so much easier! Dunkin' Donuts Iced Coffee is essential!

STEP ONE: an easy to grab breakfast

I used to be a huge breakfast person, but over the years I have stopped eating breakfast for whatever reason. It’s terrible, I know. But, if I don’t eat some sort of breakfast snack on competition mornings, I am in a world of shaky hurt by the time lunch rolls around.

Although bananas make my tongue itch (anyone else have this weird side effect?), they’re my favorite on-the-go breakfast. It’s so easy to grab one on my way out the door, plus most hotels with continental breakfasts have bananas.

STEP TWO: an easy to grab source of delicious caffeine

These ready-to-drink Dunkin’ Donuts Iced Coffees are my LIFESAVERS during comp season. Believe it or not, sometimes I don’t even have time to get coffee the morning of a competition. I stock up on these Dunkin’ Donuts Iced Coffees and stick them in my hotel mini fridge so I can grab and go.

These are the perfect on-the-go solution for those looking for a convenient iced coffee fix. They’re made according to Dunkin’ Donuts’ specifications using high-quality Arabica coffee blends with real milk and sugar. Sometimes I even pack them and bring them with me to the competition for a quick afternoon pick-me up! They come in 4 delicious flavors, all of which I have tried and love: Original, French Vanilla, Mocha, and Espresso.

STEP THREE: a wake-you-up motivating and positive podcast

I’m a podcast addict, I’ve listened to dozens and dozens. The one that I repeatedly go back to as a source of realism, positivity, and humor is the RuPaul podcast “What’s the Tee?”. I’ve been using the Podcast Addict app to organize all of my fav podcasts on my phone.

Get yourself an easy to grab breakfast, download your favorite podcast (or my favorite!), and stop by your local Cub Foods or Farm Fresh store to pick up some Dunkin’ Donuts Iced Coffee. Every flavor is delicious!

  1. NGL, those Dunkin drinks are pretty good. I’m guilty of picking one up when I walk in the grocery store, drink it while shopping, and paying for an empty bottle LOL

  2. It would save me so much time if I were to buy the iced coffee at the store instead of going through a drive thru on my way to work . Those lines can be so long.
