Christmas Front Porch Decor: Holiday Makeover

My front porch Christmas decor makeover is sponsored by At Home, all opinions are my own.

Christmas is easily my favorite holiday. Shocker, I know.

From the classic Christmas TV specials, to the cookie baking, to the mountains of snow us Minnesotans get, I love it ALL. Maybe because my husband gets stuck doing the shoveling 😉

Although the interior of our house has no shortage of Christmas decor, the exterior was a bit lacking. Sure, we always hang the well-planned LED string lights. But our front porch was far from festive. How pitiful.

I took a trip to our local At Home store to see what I could find to jazz up our front porch for Christmas. Have you been to an At Home store before? Get to one quick, because they are GLORIOUS.

I determined that two white Christmas trees in the house were definitely not enough, so I picked up a 4 ft pre-lit white Christmas tree for the front porch. And to think that just a few years ago my husband scoffed at the idea that I would buy a white tree 😉

With our house being white and practically every other part of it being kelly green, I can’t help but veer toward red as the accent color. The flowers in the spring and summer are red, and so shall the Christmas decor be. These shatter-proof red ornaments were perfect for the job.

I also spotted some red glitter trees and thought they would look great next to the white tree, so I grabbed a 30” and a 24” one.

What’s a festive front porch without a cute door mat? I liked this Christmas door mat because it looked like a hand lettered chalkboard.

True story, our jingle bell Christmas wreath holder has been hanging empty on our door since last Christmas. Yikes. This red glitter grapevine wreath was just begging to go home with me.

And last, but certainly not least, my daughter’s favorite. This red glitter nutcracker found a perfect home atop the thrifted stool that I use to prop up my thrifted mirror turned into a chalkboard.

I think we can consider this Christmas front porch decor makeover a total success 🙂

I even brought a new indoor rug home with me, I just couldn’t help myself 😉 They truly are a one-stop-shop for everything home decor.

  1. These are so cute and simple! I love it! My only concern would be the weather ruining the items. How do you prepare for inclement weather?
