InstaVerbs | June 2015

“What in the heck is an InstaVerb?” you are probably asking yourself. It’s my way of giving you a peek into my June. You know us bloggers, we can never do anything plain and simple. Because calling this post “Life Lately” is too basic, amirite?

I find that ever since I got a better phone (and a fancy new camera with WIFI, we’ll get more into that later!) I’m sharing my day-to-day adventures more and more on Instagram. I try to keep my captions short and sweet on Insta, but let me elaborate on some of my favorite verb-y photos from June:

Celebrating

We are having quite the eventful summer in the Burley/Paulson family. My brother from another mother got married up in Walker, MN on beautiful Leech Lake. The name is deceiving, that’s for sure, because when I hear the word “leech” I certainly don’t think of something pretty. We hit up Bean’s Nana and Papa for some beansitting and had a mini vacation weekend to ourselves.

Buying

I’ve been obsessed with aviator sunglasses since I can remember, so when the mirror lens trend hit it’s peak this summer you bet I was buying every pair I came across. I found these colorful babies at H&M. I also invested in a super rad planner from Ban.do. I’m going to kick daily planning in the butt this August, because that’s when the planner starts 😉

Vacationing

If you’re a fellow Minnesotan, you probably know that every weekend in the summer is usually spent going “up north”. I happen to be lucky enough to have grown up with not one, but 2 family cabins in northern Minnesota. We tend to go to our cabin on Mille Lacs Lake more often. Since we bought Gilly, I think our fun up north has increased tenfold.

Playing

Though one of my best friends lives an hour away, that doesn’t keep us from having play dates! We took advantage of a particularly hot and humid Tuesday and had a play date at the local splash pad. Turns out, everyone else in the area had the same idea. Though the amount of kids overwhelmed Bean at first, she started to warm up and had the time of her life. We’ve also been taking advantage of Grandma & Grandpa’s pool every afternoon after I’m done teaching my daytime dance classes, one of my favorite summer traditions.
We had a great June, and we hope you did too!
