Best Things to Buy at Aldi + Their Brand Name Equivalents

Most moms already know that Aldi is the BEST. I’m sharing my all-time favorite best Aldi products plus their brand name counterparts.

Let me take a wild guess. You’re also obsessed with Aldi.

Am I right? I knew it 😉

I’ve been an avid Aldi shopper for quite some time now. Throughout the years, I’ve discovered some tried and true products that I like just as much if not MORE than their brand-name counterparts.

I’m going to share with you my go-to Aldi products that I have found to replace the brand name products I used to buy regularly.

Let’s dive in:

Barissimo Donut Store Blend Ground Coffee

Brand Name Equivalent: Dunkin’ Donuts Original Blend Ground Coffee

I’ve tried practically every kind of coffee for home brewing. I finally discovered that Dunkin’ Donuts Original Blend was the most delicious ground coffee to make at home.

And then I found that Barissimo Donut Store Blend tasted EXACTLY the same for less than half the price. I pick up a bag every time I shop at Aldi.

Peanut Delight Natural Creamy Peanut Butter

Brand Name Equivalent: Skippy Natural Creamy Peanut Butter

I am a peanut butter snob. Did you know those even existed? 😉

Skippy Natural Creamy Peanut Butter was the only kind of peanut butter I would use, until this came into my life.

I will say, it does taste SLIGHTLY different. But if this picky peanut butter connoisseur likes it, you will too.

Simply Nature Squeezable Fruit and Veggie Blend Pouches

Brand Name Equivalent: GoGo squeeZ Fruit & VeggieZ on the Go

I have been on the lookout for combination fruit+veggie pouches at Aldi for EVER. They always had awesome varieties of applesauce pouches that I would pick up, but I had to make a separate trip to another grocery store to find fruit+veggie pouches.

I literally said, “Oh my gosh, FINALLY!” when I found these during our last shopping trip.

EDIT: During my latest Aldi trip these were nowhere to be seen 🙁 So they might not be a permanent fixture in the Aldi product line. But I’m sure keeping my fingers crossed they bring it back!

Simply Nature Organic Fruit Flavored Snacks

Brand Name Equivalent: Annie’s Homegrown Organic Bunny Fruit Snacks

Every Mom can relate:

Fruit snacks are a lifesaver. And I can’t seem to keep them in stock in our house no matter how many boxes I buy!

I feel good about buying these organic fruit snacks, especially with their price tag 😉

Millville Chewy Dipped Chocolatey Covered Granola Bars

Brand Name Equivalent: Quaker Chewy Dipps Granola Bars

Both my husband and my daughter fight over the granola bars in our house.

These chocolate covered ones never stick around for long in our pantry. So they must be good!

Nature’s Nectar 100% Juice Boxes

Brand Name Equivalent: Juicy Juice 100% Apple Juice

We push the ice water at our house, but when I’m feeling generous Brynn gets to have a juice box with her lunch. She loves these ones.

Friendly Farms French Onion Dip

Brand Name Equivalent: Mid-America Farms Top the Tater

I have never been so passionate about chip dip until I discovered this french onion dip.

You might think I’m being dramatic, but bear with me…

If you’ve ever had the pleasure of tasting Top the Tater (I think it’s a midwest thing) you’ll understand. It’s incredibly delicious and better than any another french onion dip.

This dip tastes EXACTLY like it, if not better. Pick up a bag of Clancy’s Ruffle Potato Chips to go with and you’re set.

Cheese Club Express Mac

Brand Name Equivalent: Kraft Easy Mac

Brynn would have a PB & J every single day for lunch if I let her.

Some days, especially during summer break, I feel like I need to break up the lunch monotony. This “express mac” makes for a special lunch treat and Brynn loves it 🙂

Lunch Buddies Fruit Cups

Brand Name Equivalent: Dole Fruit Bowls

Just like fruit snacks, I can’t seem to keep fruit cups in stock at our house.

These fruit cups are convenient, affordable, and delicious!

Other Dairy Honorable Mentions:

I felt it was worth calling out some honorable dairy mentions because they’re so dang affordable compared to shopping for them brand name.

I could literally go on and on about the products I frequently buy at Aldi. It is such a lifesaver, especially when the kids are in school!
